NCAA Division I
I made history as the first Qatari athlete to compete at the NCAA Division I level, playing for Sacred Heart University and contributing to a historic 21-win season. Competing at that level — on a daily basis against some of the best players in the world — shaped how I approach pressure, preparation, and performance.
Before arriving at Sacred Heart, I trained and competed at Williston Northampton School in the United States, where I also became a Northeast Champion in the 110m hurdles and received the Denman Award as Athlete of the Year.
Qatar National Team
With Qatar's National Basketball Team, I captained the U16 and U19 squads, representing the country in international competition at the highest levels of youth basketball. I became the youngest Qatari athlete to compete at the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta — an experience that defined what it means to carry your country on the court.
Representing Qatar internationally — from regional tournaments to the Asian Games — gave me a deep appreciation for what sport can mean to a nation, and reinforced my commitment to building the next generation of Qatari athletes.
Coaching & Development
My playing career has always run in parallel with a commitment to developing others. Through Abuissa Sports, I've helped bring NBA-standard coaching to young Qatari athletes — designing programs that combine elite technical training with education and character development.
I believe the most valuable thing an experienced player can do is share what they've learned — not just the skills, but the mindset, the discipline, and the understanding of what it takes to compete at a high level. That's what drives my work in coaching and player development.
